Our homestay is located between Bokonbayev and Balykchy on the south of the Issyk-Kul Lake. With us, you can experience an authentic Kyrgyz village life.
Our guests sleep on Kyrgyz traditional beds called töshök. It is a layers of hand-made blankets and sitting cushions. We also have one double bed if you prefer.
We have a small bathhouse (banya) in our yard that our guests can use. We are in the process of building an indoor bathroom with a shower and a toilet.
We have our own eggs, chicken, meat, potatoes, apricots and apples - Issyk Kul's famous fruits - grow at our backyard in July and August.
The village was known as Karl Marx during Soviet times and was the largest collective farm (kolkhoz) in the district. The locals have maintained agricultural traditions and make a living by growing crops and raising cattle.
There are grocery stores in Kara-Koo that sell food, bottled mineral water, and other convenience store items.
